Short: 2.7km 60m climbing
Yellow: 1.8km 40m climbing
Start and finish is close to registration.
The long and short courses have plenty of fast running but also some bog and areas of harder going.
The long course has a sizable gate to climb.
All courses have other compulsory crossings which are openable gates but please close them behind you as the fields are well stocked with sheep.
The yellow course is not generally on paths but follows linear features. Wet feet guaranteed!
New to Night Orienteering?
You need to bring a decent head torch (and maybe a spare and/or spare battery) and make sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
The first series of events, up to Christmas tend to be on easier areas so are suitable for those trying night orienteering for the first time.
Younger and/or inexperienced orienteers should be accompanied.
