Terrain: 

Maintained Gardens, Grazed Fields, runnable woodland with areas of dense vegetation, numerous paths. Complexity is limited but some controls are likely to be close together as the small area.

Parking: 

Directions: Access can be gained from the A66 via the turn to Portinscale, via the side road on the left leading from the centre of the village (which leads to the foot bridge over the river Derwent), with Derwent hill on the right hand side of this road. Access is available on foot from Keswick via this foot bridge.

Parking: There is some parking available to us on the site by barring right on entry to the site. Please do not park in the parking near the house as this is reserved for residents of the site. Parking may also be available on the minor road outside the centre or minor road on the Keswick side of the River Derwent Foot bridge.

No dogs on the courses

Venue: Derwent Hill is a small enclosed area of gardens, woodland and fields (with some sheep) around a house which is used as an outdoor centre, bounded by the river Derwent around it's north and east sides. While there may be cars on the site these should be slow moving and restricted to the parking areas and drives way to the house. Being an outdoor centre there is activity equipment on the site which will be encountered including ropes in the woods - please do not climb on or interfere with any of this.

17:00 - 18.45pm (Sunset is 18:52 and its likely to be dark earlier than this in the woodland!)
