The area is mostly open, runnable grassland but has some areas of scattered vegetation which will require more care particularly at night. There is forestry work underway adjacent to the orienteering area. This should not affect this event but there may be timber stacks on the way to the start which should be avoided.

New to Night Orienteering?
You need to bring a decent head torch (and maybe a spare) and make sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
The first series of events, up to Christmas tend to be on easier areas so are suitable for those trying night orienteering for the first time.
Younger and/or inexperienced orienteers should be accompanied.
