Course Notes Please Read Carefully
- All courses, including the Novice, go close to the top of the area at 280m.
- Please make sure you are prepared for bad weather and are dressed appropriately for being on the fells at this time of year.
- There is a good amount of ascent on all the courses, but we have tried to reduce this by having a 40m climb to the start.
- There are many uncrossable walls. You MUST use the marked crossing points, which are all gates, and close them behind you.
Terrain:
- The terrain is generally fast and runnable, especially on the main paths.
- There is some bracken on the Long and Short courses but the courses do avoid the worst patches.
- The Novice course is a yellow / orange standard. Although there are plenty of walls, the terrain is technical and a real challenge at night.
- There may be some stock on the area, probably sheep.
Important Safety Notes Please Read:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- Full leg cover recommended.
- Waterproofs and whistles are advised and may be mandatory depending on the weather conditions on the night.
