As with the January Social, we would like members to bring some food to share in a communal buffet.  This can be hot or cold, sweet or savoury. We have hired the hall from 3pm-7pm, so items can be left in the hall before members enjoy the event on the dunes. I understand the hall has the usual fridge and oven facilities in the kitchen. Of course, if it is pouring with rain, we can take refuge in the hall any time from 3pm.

 

As this social gathering follows activities at the dunes, it will take the form of a relaxed buffet, with everyone free to sit and chat.  If anyone would also like to bring a table quiz or a game, then that would also be welcome.

 

Please let Catherine Wetherfield know (wetherdale at talk21 dot com) if you intend to come to the Summer Social, with an idea of what you might bring with you for the buffet.  This is just so we have an idea of numbers, and to make sure we have a balanced spread (as we normally do).

 

Mawbray Village Hall is also known as Culterham Hall, Mawbray, Maryport CA15 6QS, This is just a 3 minute walk from the Mawbray Banks car park in the heart of the village.
