Terrain:
Recently updated area, not used for orienteering before. Network of housing comprising cul-de-sacs and many pedestrian paths. Courses are mainly on hard surfaces but there are some grassed areas which may be slippery.

Copeland Athletics Stadium, Hensingham. £1 charge

Safety:
It will start to get dark around 6:30. If you are on the one of the later starts consider wearing high viz to ensure you are seen. You might also want to bring a head torch.

No dogs on the courses

THERE IS NO ENTRY ON THE DAY - PRE-ENTRIES ONLY
Entries close Wednesday noon
If you do not have a dibber (electronic punch), one can be loaned at the event.
Courses:
U16s must run the short course and cross at the mandatory road crossing, which will be marshalled.
Other roads are quiet but there are many parked cars – take care when crossing.
Primary school age orienteers should be accompanied on the short course.
Distances shown below are straight line and actual distance run may be longer.
Long 3.4km. Minimum age 16 on the day.
