July 2015

Mawbray dunes

Come and have a go at orienteering at one of our friendly Thursday evening events. Next event is at Mosser (a few miles south of Cockermouth) on the 30th of July.  Active fun for all the family - courses suitable for everyone.

See the Events page for more details of these events and lots more - see you there!

Fantastic news - Charlotte Watson of EUOC & WCOC has been selected to represent GB at the World Orienteering Championships this summer in Scotland. Go Charlotte, go GB!

Relays

Grab a couple of friends and book your place to run in the annual "Parish Relays", to be held at Westlakes Science park on Thursday 16th July.  Great fun and very sociable! Let Roger Jackson know you are coming so you don't miss out...

Don't forget 50p for a drink and biscuit afterwards.

Barf - the Bishop

Hopefully there won't be a control by the Bishop!  Come and run in the fells and forest around Whinlatter this Thursday - courses suitable for everyone, and a good weather forecast too - what more could you want...

Well done to the following WCOC juniors who have been selected to represent the North-West in the Junior Inter-Regional Champs (Cannock Chase, Sept) - Rosie S, Jess B, Ben G, Niamh H, Daniel S, Alastair T and Katie L.

Also to the following who have been selected to represent England at the Junior Home Internationals (Northern Ireland, Oct) - Daniel S and Alastair T.
