September 2015

Several WCOC juniors represented the North-West Junior Squad at the JIRCs this weekend.  Their good individual results (click here) contributed to the North-West lying in an impressive third place overall after day one, behind leaders Scotland and just one point adrift of the South-West team. More good runs in the relays (click here), helping the NW to secure an excellent second place overall (click here for results) - congratulations to all the team!

Don't forget to come along to our AGM (22/10/15) to support your club. If you would also like to offer your services and help to the club’s activities, please consider joining the committee. We are a very active club and rely on the input from a large band of volunteers to make it tick.

Congratulations to all the WCOC members who took part in the Northern Championships today at Monks' Road near Malham, and especially to our new Northern Champions - Mike Pearson who won M70, Lynne Thomas who won W45, Phil Winskill who won M35, and Daniel Spencer who won M16.  There were many other good results - click here for full listings.

Please note that the date for the Whinlatter Galoppen this autumn has changed from October 4th to November 1st.  Extra time to get even fitter...

A great tower

Coaching for all (adults & juniors, TD1-5) at Great Towers (S Lakes) this Saturday - let Lynne know (lynnethomas99@yahoo.co.uk). If you like, why not also join in the fun at our weekend away: following coaching there will be a fun relay event, then stay overnight at Great Towers (in chalets). Then on Sunday - LOC Galoppen at Lingmoor / Elterwater. Contact Vanessa if you would like to stay over at Great Towers (vanessa.brierley@hotmail.co.uk).
