Well done to everyone from WCOC who travelled to the Scottish 6 day event in Royal Deeside 30th July - 5th August.

There were some great results throughout the week on individual days, and congratulations to the following who all finished in the top 10 (and some in the top 3!) overall - Catherine Wetherfield (6th W50S), Sue Skinner (5th W50L), Niamh Hunter (7th W18L), Rosie Spencer (7th W16A), Caitlin Irving (5th W14A), Carys Thomas (9th W14A), Isabel Sunley (2nd W12A), Mike Pearson (4th M70L), Roger Thomas (8th M55S), Daniel Spencer (9th M18L), Joe Hudd (1st M14A) and Wilf Teasdale (3rd M12A).

Aughertree Fell

Owsen Fell

This evening you have another opportunity to orienteer in the lovely western fells. Come and join in the fun at Owsen Fell (just north of Lamplugh) - families and beginners welcome, with courses suitable for all!

Ling Fell

Come and run in the sun on the beautiful slopes of Ling Fell near Cockermouth this Thursday.  Courses suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced orienteers.

Congratulations to all the WCOC members who took part in the SLMM this weekend based in Ennerdale. Successes included Lynne Thomas and Jo Cleary (1st FV on Harter Fell), Niamh and Simon Hunter (2nd overall and 1st MIX on Harter Fell), Kate Charles and John Slater (2nd MIXV on Kirkfell), and Matt and Phil Vokes (4th on Bowfell).  

Further congratulation to Alastair Thomas who represented GB this weekend at EYOC in Slovakia. He came 23rd on the Sprint, 14th on the Long, and 8th in the Relays - an impressive set of results!
