Courses:

Course              Controls            Length                            Climb
Easy                   7                          1.2 km                             70 m
Short                  11                        2.9 km                             150 m
Long                   20                        4.6 km                             250 m
The area is not ideal for an Easy course, as a result the Easy course is a bit contrived and goes through some rough terrain and there is a long walk to the start.
There is also a taped section between two controls on the Easy Course

Start/Finish:
From the parking area it is 1km with 180m climb  to the start. The finish is close to the start.

Important Safety Notes:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- Please come prepared for bad weather and carry a whistle.

Terrain:
Armboth Fell is a classic piece of Lake District Fell with technical navigation.
The map is great and the area is rough with lots of marshes, heather, bilberry and small areas of bracken.
I think it was last used for orienteering in 2016.

Start Times:

5.30-7pm

Courses Close:

8pm. Please be back at download by this time so we know you are back safe.
