The event is on the fells to the north of Skiddaw. Access is via some very narrow roads so please drive cautiously, and follow the signed route to minimise traffic disruption. Approach is via the A591 and the event will be signed from the A591 at NY216325, signposted ‘Bassenthwaite Village’. This junction is about 100m SE of the Castle Inn junction.
Parking and assembly are at Horsemoor Hills Farm, NY252335. There will be a £1 per car parking fee.
No access for coaches or for any vehicles larger than a minibus.

Registration and download are in the assembly area. Registration is open from 10.00 to 12.00, and starts are between 10.30 and 12.30. The start is 750m from assembly, with 70m climb.
Entry on the day only. Car keys can be left at Registration. Spare clothing can be left near the start as competitors will pass the start on their way back to Assembly from the finish. The finish is 800m beyond the start. The clothing dump will not be supervised.

SI controls will be used and will be enabled in contactless mode. Those with SIAC dibbers must physically punch the start.
SI cards will be available for hire on the day for £1. Please note that there is a £30 charge for lost SI cards.

You MUST download even if you retire so that we know you are back safely. Competitors take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
The event is on high open Lakeland fells and participants should dress appropriately and MUST carry a whistle. If the weather is bad it may be compulsory to carry a waterproof cagoule.
There will be a cake stall run by WCOC juniors. Please support their efforts by rewarding yourself with something nice after your run.
