Terrain
A mixture of pasture land and steep rough fell. The fell is mostly close cropped, with areas of longer of grass and some areas of gorse. Most of the gorse is currently fairly low, having been cut back a few years ago. Courses are planned to avoid crossing fences. The fact that it is a big hill will result in the climb being "towards" the top end of the recommended climb per Km,,,, The start is adjacent to registration. The Novice course will finish near download. However, the Long and Short courses will have a remote finish. It is quite close to the main forest access track. The route back to download will not be marked. I am assuming that if you have been able to navigate your way round the courses, then navigating back from the finish will not be an issue.......

Important Safety Notes:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- Please come prepared for bad weather and carry a whistle.

Start Times:

5.30-7pm

Courses Close:

8pm. You must be back to download by this time, even if you retire, so we know you are back safe.

Planner:

Andrew Bradley
