Registration will be south of the road junction, depending on where we can park. Probably about NY 149 051.

Courses:
- All courses will have a walk along the public road to the start of about 400m.
- Please walk on the left hand verge where it is possible.
- There is a short bit where you’ll have to walk on the road.
- The easy course will finish near the start and walk back the same way.
- The long and short courses both cross the road on the way back. The road crossing is at the cattle grid, where cars slow down naturally, but please take great care.
Long 3.7 km 90m 23 controls
Short 3.1 km 60m 14 controls
Easy 1.2 km 10m 5 controls
The easy course is a gentle out-and-back stroll along the lake path.
Important Safety Notes:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- Please come prepared for bad weather and carry a whistle.

Location: Wastwater Lake.
Low Wood is a fabulous little area of mixed oak and beech trees. New map for this event. It probably hasn’t been used for orienteering for about 40 years. Long and short courses will also go out on to the common, with Wasdale’s iconic views.
Approach: There are roadworks between Calderbridge and Gosforth. After 7pm access will be by escort, with possible delays. After 10pm the road will be closed completely. Or you could use the recommended diversion, via Kendal and Shap!
