Please note: allow a bit more time than usual as there are a few road works in Cockermouth

Bar and toilets but no parking right outside (park in town)

Entry on the day is available for the SPARK course and there may be some maps left for EOD on Dash and Rocket courses

Courses:

Spark (for juniors and newcomers): 2km, 11 controls
Dash (short course): 3km, 12 controls
Rocket (long course): 5km, 24 controls

Dash and Rocket course: Several temporary artificial barriers have been added to create interesting route choices. These are marked on the map only and will not be marked on the ground. They represent uncrossable features and must not be crossed.
As we use Cockermouth regularly for Rocket League events, these barriers help create new route choices and keep the courses fresh and interesting.

Rocket League is WCOC’s fast and friendly Thursday evening sprint series, featuring 12 races in towns and parks across West Cumbria. With three course options — Rocket, Dash and Spark — there’s something for everyone, from experienced orienteers to complete beginners and juniors. Courses are short, fast and designed to be fun and accessible, making it a great way to try orienteering or add something different to your weekly training. Newcomers are always welcome and help is available before the start if you’re new to the sport.
