Long, Short & Red Maps will be at the Start.
Orange+ Maps will be at Registration - this can be studied at your leisure before you start

Controls will be collected in progressively from 7pm.

Course Notes:
There is no Easy course. The Orange+ course has more climb than a regular orange course - parents with young novices be aware. NOT suitable for unaccompanied junior novices. The Orange+ course follows paths throughout.
Short course - a bit longer than usual but good going
GREAT views on ALL courses - weather permitting

Important Safety Notes:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- Whistles compulsory
- Cagoules compulsory if weather is poor.

Start Times:

5.30-6.45pm (2 mins walk to Start)

Courses Close:

8pm. You must be back to download by this time, even if you retire, so we know you are back safe.

Kim & Howard Leslie

Other Notes:

Terrain:
Ling Fell is a beautiful low fell of mainly grass and heather. Steep in parts but also has good paths, tracks and unmapped trods - look out for these !!! At the back of the fell is an interesting area of becks and drainage ditches and much more subtle contour features - Wythop Moss. The whole area can be challenging in poor weather / low visibility.

Special Note - Works on Ling Fell:
There have been recent works to the South and East of Ling Fell. This involves some fence building and other works. Watch out for unmapped tracks in Wythop Moss especially. While this has constrained some of the planning - we have kept competitors away from these works as much as possible
