Entries:
Online entry for all courses on Racesignup https://racesignup.co.uk/
Entry on the day is available for the Easy (Spark) and Red (Trail) courses ONLY.
Dibbers will be available to use on the night.
Courses:
Long ~ 5 km, 200 m climb
Short ~ 3 km, 100 m climb
Red (Trail) ~3.5 km, 180 m climb
Easy (Spark) ~1.6 km, 30 m climb
All courses will explore the open fell of Godworth and the Pens with runnable grass plus some heather, bog, bilberry and gorse on the lower slopes. Classic WCOC. Beware of the potential confusion that the many parallel erosion channels can cause, easy enough on a clear summer's evening, but many have come a cropper when the clag is down.
(the climb is the maximum you might achieve if you choose to go over all the hills and avoid any contouring!)
Important Safety Notes:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- First Aid will be located at Registration.
- Safety Bearing in case of injury or disorientation is due west.
- Please come prepared for bad weather and carry a whistle. Whistles may be made mandatory if weather is bad (and especially if the clag is down).
